About me

About me

For my entire 30 year career as a paid worker, and volunteer, I have enjoyed the privilege of supporting and developing individuals. Sometimes this has been for charities working within under-served communities now it is within the wider public sector.

Claire Pennell (MSc, PgDip, BSc, Chartered MCIPD, InstLM) Executive, Leadership & Life Coach

For the last 14 years, I have been working at the heart of Public Health, taking a more holistic approach, which takes into account the wider factors that affect people’s health.

To develop people, not only impacts on them but, in turn, significantly influences the success of organisations. I focus on using a coaching approach in both a one to one and group or team setting to unlock talent, increase happiness and wellbeing in life and work, improve leadership, drive continuous learning and have better employee engagement.

I use an Appreciative Inquiry or Asset-based approach which builds on identifying existing strengths and assets. Using coaching tools and incisive questioning, we identify the obstacles for moving forward and release your / teams potential.

Coaching is beneficial to anyone looking for personal and professional development, especially at a point of change e.g. concerned about returning to the workplace after a break, wanting a career change, feeling stuck or lost in life. As an organisation, or team, you may, for example, be looking for new opportunities, progress, culture change, leadership development.

I am eager to bring the value of coaching to individuals, non-profits, community services and brand-new start up enterprises.

I receive regular supervision and CPD updates through membership of CIPD, ILM, EMCC, the Civil Service and NHS Leadership Academy.
